I just finished another sweatshirt with my new go to pattern. New Look 6314
I made this earlier in the year in a grey and I knew then I would be making it again, but I didn’t realize it would be this soon.
I thought I needed to make an adjustment to the neckline but actually the only thing I needed to do was adjust my stitch width and length.
The fabric is a double sided knit that I picked up at my local JoAnn’s.
For the next one I’ll dress it up a bit with a nice knit wool for next fall.
Well my girl tried out for the Kennedy Games and made the team. She will be running track for her elementary school in a tract meet in April.
We picked her up from practice last week and she was having a ball.
I thought it would be a good idea to get her some sweats to wear to school on practice days, which meant a trip to our local JoAnn’s. She picked out the fabric for the sweats and all I can say is she is only 10 years old. I modified one of the patterns we had in “her” stash.
I couldn’t talk her out of the owls and grandpa says they look like pajamas. I am determined to make them again in a different fabric.
We decided on a black rib knit for the waist and leg trim.
It’s a fun design, kinda goes with her personality.
After a little research I found these on Pinterest pinned by Net-A-Porter and I think something similar to these will work. With a few minor adjustments to the pattern.
So, this means another trip to the fabric store.
