It is 10:37 here on the West Coast so I have an hour and a half to get my post in to complete my week. And today I actually have two photos to post.
Yep . . . that’s me again in front of the mirror to get this photo. This skirt was one on my spring/summer go to’s. It is a simple a-line made out of a stretch denim print from Jo-Anns.
This was a fun weekend project at the request of a friend. She needed an apron for her nephew who likes to cook. It is made from McCalls 6415. The fabric is from my stash. I particularly like the way the African print turned out for the vest and miniature bow tie. I didn’t follow the pattern instructions for the bow tie but googled for a real bow tie pattern and how to tie a bow tie. I also changed the shirt panel by adding a placket (?) and putting buttons on it so that it would look more like a real shirt. Hubby said this was the nicest apron he’d ever seen. I hope my friend’s nephew feels the same way!
