Pockets and zippers oh my!

It seems as if the theme this week has been zippers and pockets. I needed a pair of short pants so I used one of my very basic patterns and added pockets. On this side I included a patch pocket. I really do need the practice . . . They say other are easy, but it is still going to take me some work.

And on this side I made a longer patch pocket with a zipper. I thought this would be perfect for carrying my sun glasses.

I used the same pant pattern and made a pair of long linen pants and added an invisible zipper on the side pocket. The recent Vogue Pattern magazine had instructions for adding a zipper to pockets and this was the perfect pair to try it on. I had originally planned on adding a zipper to both sides, but after two hours on one zipper I decided I only “needed” one.
