Safiyah’s “blue” blouse

A couple of months ago Safiyah and I had taken a trip to Joanns to pick out several patterns for me to make for her during this school year. Little did I know she would be moving away and I would be left on my own to pick out the fabrics for the different pieces. Although she is only eight she knows what she likes

During our last telephone conversation we discussed which item would be first and also what color it would be. So off I go to Joanns to find the fabric that would work perfectly for the blouse. After hours of looking I came away empty handed. In my stash there was a plain white cotton which might just work.
